The cascades of white roses tumbling down the blue walls could be seen from far away. From then on, all the ir friends sent postcards to them addressed only with the words ¯Blue House.® Children in the town made arrangements such as: ¯Let's meet in front of the Blue House.® The town newspaper printed a photograph of the smiling family in front of the blue house adorned with white roses. Autumn arrived and with it autumn clouds. The roses withered. The rain clouds noticed the blue house. They thought it was a cheeky rain cloud that was hovering just above the ground. The other clouds wanted to show that they could do the same and they floated down lower and lower. And it rained and rained. The blue house was wrapped up in the dark clouds and rain fell on it ceaselessly. The paths to the house turned into muddy swamps. Puddles grew into great water holes, and the occupants of the blue house walked through the kitchen in rubber boots as the water had started to flow into the house as well. ...
